Scrapbook Loves September 2019

Three months till the end of the year, blimey! More importantly this month is Brexit month aka Halloween – fitting isn’t it! This month was a big month for us as a family as Arlo started school and both kids started at after-school club and with a new childminder and we’re all more or less back into a routine!

Read

Here’s what I read this month:

what i read in september

I’ve read a fair few books this month, a couple of duds that weren’t so bad I couldn’t finish them but were just not that brilliant! Two that I’d recommend were the amazing The Testaments- sequel to The Handmaids Tale. I loved hearing about what happened next and finding out more about Aunt Lydia. The other was White Tiger- which was such an interesting read – set in India and told in a series of first person letters to a Chinese politician. I appreciate it sounds so strange but worth a read! The Postcard and From Mum with Love are chick lit and neither are that good if I’m honest! Here to Stay was really good, a sort of ‘damn this could actually happen’ type thriller.

Watched

Still Basically only watching Greys Anatomy we’re up to season 11 now! Pretttttty much everything else has fallen to the wayside!

Made

As per usual not a great deal!

It’s Jumper Season and I’m pretty happy about getting all my jumpers and cardies out of their vacuum packed bag in the attic! My thicker jeans are also back out and I’ve also been wearing these [gifted for a review] leather look leggings from UK Tights. I’ve been after a pair since last winter but never got round to getting any.

They have a wide waistband so they stay put and have a warm lining so would be great throughout winter- I think they’ll be a staple in my New York wardrobe for my trip in January with boots and thick socks to combat the cold. The leather look coating is a good quality that doesn’t stretch or split at the knees or round the bum… which was a worry for me!

I also bought myself some new furry old-lady style slippers and I love them! Almost time to put the heating on!

And Lastly…

We moved our living room around a little and it feels more spacious, I wish I’d done it sooner!
