Here’s where you’ll find posts for what the kids did… playing, wearing, doing, and more!

Coding for kids made fun with Osmo

16th September 202014th October 2020
Osmo kids coding app review

Coding sounds scary, when I first heard that it would be included in the curriculum for kids I had visions of kids sat working out tricky lines of computer code. It’s actually very different to that and now I get to see it first hand with the Osmo Coding Kit. If you’re not sure what… Read More

Osmo Genius & Little Genius Review – perfect for kids at home!

28th March 20204th April 2020
Playing with Osmo

Just when you thought you knew all about the ways to use tech to keep your kids entertained (including asking Alexa to make fart noises) you find something that blows everything else out of the water. It’s not only fun, but also educational enough to count as learning, which during these strange covid19 infused times is more important than… Read More

Getting Arty with the smART Sketcher Projector!

20th September 201810th February 2020
smART Sketcher Projector review

At the moment Athena is definitely more ‘arty’ than she is scholarly, although I know that may change as she gets older! At the moment if you give her a choice of practising reading or doing something with colours and paper she’ll always choose the latter. The smART Sketcher has made her even more keen… Read More

Reviews: Crate Creatures Toys – interactive monsters!

7th August 201810th February 2020
crate-creatures-review

You know that feeling of six long weeks stretching ahead of you, full of 6am wake up calls from a noisy and energetic three year old? Well that feeling was making me feel a little bit on edge a couple of weeks ago, but thankfully due to a well timed delivery of something fun for… Read More

What the kids wore: Bobux Kid+ Sandals

5th May 201810th February 2020
Bobux-shoes-review-1

I’ve been a big fan of Bobux shoes for the kids ever since they started walking, originally working with them through blogging, but I have also purchased them too, plus been a big advocate when other mum’s ask about the best footwear for kids. We are lucky enough to be working with them again this… Read More

What Athena Wore in Bluebell Woods

4th May 201810th February 2020

It’s finally bluebell season! Last Saturday we took a late afternoon stroll around the bluebells in Angmering Park estate. It’s always an a stunning sight to behold, and each year they never fail to amaze me with their colours, and Athena has a new dress and necklace that she was more than happy to show… Read More

A Disney Vampirina Boo-tiful dress

16th April 201810th February 2020
boo-tiful vampirina dress disney-1

Athena discovered Vampirina a few months ago, and it’s definitely in her top 5 favourite TV shows at the moment, and it’s also one that the kids will happily watch together, despite the main character being a girl (Arlo is a very typical just turned 3 year old boy, despite us trying to get him… Read More

Arlo’s Dream Horse with Petplan Equine

10th April 201810th February 2020

I spent most of my primary school summer holidays (and Easter and Christmas!) riding ponies, and I loved it! My dad had a small farm in Wales and we had two ponies, Misty and Frosty, but I also spent a lot of time at the local riding stables helping out, going on hacks on the… Read More

Review: Barbie Styling Head Flip & Reveal

3rd April 201810th February 2020

If there is one thing I can guarantee a resounding YES to, it’s asking Athena if she wants to play with my hair. Unfortunately for her I find people playing with my hair supremely irritating, but now she can brush, plait and pull to her hearts content with her new Barbie Styling Head. The little… Read More

Toys: Hatchimal Fabula Forest Tigrette

14th March 201810th February 2020
hatchimal Fabula Forest Tigrette Hatching

Last weekend I had a very excited little girl on my hands when I presented her with a large egg, which was making noises and flashing… and a friendship was formed! Athena was (and still is!) a very proud owner of a new Hatchimal from Fabula Forest! What is a Hatchimal Fabula Forest? A hatchimal… Read More

Jumping into the weekend 🤸🤸🏼‍♀️ Det Jumping into the weekend 🤸🤸🏼‍♀️
Determined to switch off this weekend, I've been flat out at work for the past two weeks & worked a lot of last weekend too. The problem (which is also a positive) with working freelance is that you can do it anytime but it doesn't necessarily mean you should 🤪
We're spending time with friends, doing some gardening and hopefully some cross stitch on the new garden sofa I spent hours putting together yesterday!

🌊🐚 beach babies The one time I can (almost 🌊🐚 beach babies

The one time I can (almost) guarantee no squabbling, no asking for snacks and potentially even to be left alone is at the beach.
I didn't bring swimming stuff, a change of clothes or sandals but that didn't stop them going for a swim!

I saw someone say the other day on here that they I saw someone say the other day on here that they found Gardening the most dull thing ever. A year ago I would've agreed, but had never had my own garden as an adult. I'd either lived in a pub (a gardener came and did our windowboxes) or flats with no outside space. When we moved in here there was no grass and a massive shed in the middle of the garden-literally in the middle, 3 feet away from the back wall too 🤪 there was also no flower bed. Sam and I have worked hard since we moved in, making this long planter, and pulling up patio slabs to sow some grass seed. I've got seedlings growing and am planning a mini rockery too. So no, gardening is not dull to me now. I really enjoy it! I'll share more of the garden when the grass has grown and I've planted some more flowers!

Swipe to see the couple of seconds of sibling anno Swipe to see the couple of seconds of sibling annoyance before I took this one 🙄🤷🤣

Seriously though all these two currently do is bicker. Short of ignoring it completely what's the parental solution?!

Also, bluebells!
