Introducing another amazing ‘keep the baby happy, busy and safe’ activity centre from Fisher Price. Arlo outgrew the playmat and although we do still use the newborn to toddler swing on occasion now he’s mobile he didn’t really like being in it for long periods of time any more.
A little while ago I wrote this post about family dining inspiration, and since then although we’ve not moved yet Habitat sent us the kids table and chairs that I featured, along with a fantastic storage chest and they’ve made a world of difference already, plus they will be perfect in the playroom when we finally move!
I skipped Arlo’s 8 month update as I didn’t have a laptop, I’ve now borrowed my mums so I can get this one up on time with the linky & a better photo! The last two months have been huge in terms of development, Arlo is now moving all over the place, crawling properly, pulling himself to standing and cruising around…
I’m no good at sticking to resolutions really, so this year I’m giving myself some guidelines to follow, that way I won’t feel such a failure when I look back at them and inevitably have achieved nothing. I’ve split them up into me/home/blog. Home (I plan for these to be joint with Sam of course!) Empty the dishwasher when It’s…
I’m a big believer in Karma, and what goes around comes around and think that Christmas is a good time of year for people to look for opportunities to help someone out… I was amazed when someone paid for my Christmas food shop when I forgot my purse last year. This year I’ve just continued doing something I’ve done throughout…
Here are some spicy, warm and particularly festive drink ideas to get you in the mood for Christmas. Have a swig while wrapping your presents or to warm you up after being out carol singing. They’re also perfect for sharing at your Christmas gatherings – just mix up a batch and keep it warming gently until your guests arrive. All…
I’ve made next to no attempt to lose weight in 2015 at all. I spent the first three months of it pregnant so didn’t watch what I ate although I probably should have! Then once Arlo arrived I needed all the extra calories I could get to keep up with his need for near constant feeding, and of course chasing…
Well I’ve been pretty naff at keeping up with these weekly catchy up posts, but in all honesty they’d be pretty similar for the last few weeks to maybe a blessing in disguise! I’ve been more stressed than I’d like to be as I’m spending a lot of time just me and the little ones as Sam is working so…
There is no denying that winter is upon us, and along with it come red noses, colds and the need to wear socks, a personal pet-hate of mine! There are a lot of ways to make sure you keep warm at home, besides ramping the central heating up to top whack and bankrupting yourself when you have to pay the bill! We’re…
Okay so Christmas is exciting and all that but I’m just as excited about our holiday at the end of January. We’re going away with two other families to the alps, and at least there I know it will actually be snowy and cold unlike our current balmy winter! Here’s a selection of essentials for a successful winter holiday for…
I’m always interested in learning about how other countries do things, and as Christmas is such a special time of the year it makes it even more fun to learn about how it’s done elsewhere. Expedia recently challenged me to pick a country and make a traditional Christmas Meal, and seeing as we’re flying into Switzerland in January I thought…
