We live in a first floor flat so have no garden of our own but thankfully have have a nice little communal garden that nobody else uses! The gardener comes every week to mown the lawn and sort out the flowers and shrubbery so it’s a lovely space to chill out in and enjoy being outside without having to go too far! This last weekend we’ve spent time out there three days on the trot and it’s been so nice! Sam has been faffing around doing ‘muscle memory’ for snowboarding and I’ve been chatting to Arlo and helping Athena learn to use her scooter!
As I was wearing a new dress I thought I’d get Sam to snap some photos too! I love shirt dresses as they’re so easy to breastfeed in, and light and summery so perfect for this weather! I even wore it without leggings on Saturday in a bid to try an expose my very pasty pins to the sun and see if I can get some colour on them! I even tried a bit of the old fake tan last week but it was a disaster! Despite my mum telling me it is “impossible to get streaks with this one, it’s a light mousse” I got streaks, how DO you do your feet without tide marks?!
Anyway, back to the dress…it’s from TU at Sainsburys of all places! It’s got a lined skirt, a waist tie and is slightly stretchy too! I’m going to visit again soon and see if they have it in any other designs! But I do love this floral pattern lots and it semi matches the gorgeous new Mama Jewels necklace that arrived just in time for Brit Mums the weekend before last! I had a few people ask about it there so here’s a close up…
Liberty print and a heart, obviously I chose to have an ‘A’ on mine, and yes I did pat myself on the back for calling both my children names starting with an A! My necklace is from the Silver personalised jewellery section, although there is a lot more to choose from including teething necklaces that have silicone beads (so safe for little gums) and necklaces with wood and resin beads for baby to fiddle with during feeds. Amanda came up with the idea when she had her first son and realised that all the mums had given up wearing jewellery for fear of it being broken! So she started to design a range of safe jewellery that was also stylish!
The pendant comes on a 16″ chain and the liberty fabric is gorgeous, with the delicate heart sitting just on top when worn, I love it!
You can follow Mama Jewels on facebook & twitter, and if you head over to the website there’s a sale on at the moment too! There are some perfect gifts if you know anyone who is expecting a baby too!
Thank you Mama Jewels for letting me choose something gorgeous from their website for the purpose of this review!
hehehe! I have never had any success with fake tan either….lol
