Rockin’ Baby are one of my favourite kids clothing brands, fun patterns, a great range and a a really ethical company too, you can read more about that in this post but they match what they sell item for item and send the clothes out to kids in over 30 countries in partnership with ChildFund International. When we were offered a sneak peek at the new S/S16 collection I definitely wasn’t going to say no! With a few different themes it was actually pretty tricky to pick as everything is fun and would look amazing on!
Eventually for Arlo I picked the crawlers (baggy trousers with turn up cuffs) from the Out of Africa range. The trousers will last for ages as you can extend the legs, and they are just perfect for his bulbous cloth-nappy bum! They’re in a fantastic sort of jungle leaf print with orange accents, and the lion T shirt matches fantastically! We get compliments on this outfit whenever he’s worn it! The envelope neck means it goes over his head with ease, and the sizing is quite generous.
Athena actually picked her own dress out from the Nautical range (I’m starting to let her pick what she wants to wear, eek!) but I think she made an excellent choice! The gorgeous light cotton sundress is covered with bunting print, and comes with a little bandana too! Though she’s been wearing it like a bib, bless her! It’s so perfect for playing it as it’s loose fitting with elasticated straps so they don’t slip off and a really awesome tiny pom-pom trim. I think this will be Athena’s birthday dress in June!
Both kids were also sent an extra bonus T shirt from the Seaside or Nautical range. Athena’s has a really relaxed cut as it flares slightly out, perfect for summer months to keep her cool and Arlo’s has poppers at the shoulder so it’s easy to put on and take off. It has an ‘olly-op’ applique on it, as Athena likes to say!
As with all Rockin Baby clothes we’ve had in the past they was brilliantly, keeping their shape and not shrinking even when washed at 60 (because hey, babies make mess!) and the T shirts are so soft, Athena asked me to stop stroking her back when we were reading together the other day, but I couldn’t help it!
These clothes were sent to us for the purpose of this review, all words and opinions are my own.
